Kim Derkach is a board-certified Holistic Nurse and Health and Wellness Nurse Coach, educator, and passionate advocate for integrative nursing, spiritual development, and global health. As Co-founder, Lead Instructor, and Lead Advocate of Integrative Education and Spiritual Development at TheCIINDE©, she is dedicated to empowering nurses and individuals to embrace holistic healing, cultural diversity, and planetary health.
To recognize her contributions to the field of holistic nursing Kim was inducted as a Distinguished Scholar into the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing (GAHN) in 2023. Kim’s vision for the future of nursing is to foster happier, healthier individuals—from local communities to the global stage.

She earned her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan, where she continues to shape the next generation of nurses as a faculty instructor. Her commitment to holistic nursing education is evident in her efforts to integrate mind-body-spirit principles, cultural awareness, and environmental health into her teaching and leadership philosophy.
Kim has extensive training in various energy and healing modalities and is a Reiki Master and Certified Medical Intuitive. She is guided by the belief that the power to heal lies within each individual. By blending her expertise in spiritual care, holistic health, and wellness coaching, she empowers clients and students to explore a journey of self-discovery, build resilience, and achieve sustainable well-being.
Kim is also a tireless advocate for cultural diversity and inclusivity in healthcare, believing that honouring diverse perspectives enriches healing practices and strengthens global interconnectedness. She actively contributes to organizations such as The Canadian Holistic Nurses Association and The Life is Worth Living Way, where she shares her knowledge on holistic approaches to health and wellness.
Through her work with TheCIINDE©, the University of Saskatchewan, and various community initiatives, Kim has become a respected leader in holistic nursing education. Her dedication to nurturing compassion, empowerment, and integrative healing continues to inspire nurses and individuals worldwide.
Kim is the co-creator and lead instructor of TheCIINDE©’s signature program The Comprehensive Holistic Nurse, Nurse Coach and Consultant Certificate Program. She is also a contributor to the upcoming book, Reviving the Heart of Nurses, One Story at a Time: How Holistic Nursing and Nurse Coaching Will Change Your Life (to be released in 2025).
