Janessa DeCoste is a trailblazer in Nurse Coaching and independent nursing practice, dedicated to transforming healthcare, education, and nursing entrepreneurship. A visionary leader and advocate, she has been instrumental in pioneering the recognition and expansion of Nurse Coaching in Canada.

Janessa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Francis Xavier University and her Master of Nursing from the University of Calgary. With over seven years as a Transformative Nurse Coach, she was inducted as a Distinguished Scholar into the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing (GAHN) in 2023, reflecting her commitment to advancing integrative and holistic nursing.

Janessa is also the Founder of The Nurse Coach Agency, a business support initiative designed to help nurses successfully launch and scale their independent practices. She co-developed the Business Development Program for Nurses in collaboration with TheCIINDE©, equipping nurses with the strategic tools and entrepreneurial mindset necessary to thrive outside traditional healthcare settings.

With a background spanning pediatric oncology, mental health, primary care, and independent practice, Janessa brings a unique fusion of clinical expertise, business strategy, and holistic nursing to her work. Her approach blends holistic business coaching and consulting, guiding nurses to build heart-centered, sustainable businesses that align with their professional values and scope of practice.

Beyond business coaching, Janessa is an innovator exploring Quantum Human Design and integrative business strategies, helping nurse entrepreneurs align their businesses with their deeper purpose. Her mission is to revolutionize nursing by empowering nurses to redefine healthcare through person-centered, values-driven, and entrepreneurial approaches. Her expertise has earned her features in notable publications, solidifying her role as a leader in nursing entrepreneurship.

Janessa is the co-creator and lead instructor of TheCIINDE©’s signature program The Comprehensive Holistic Nurse, Nurse Coach & Consultant Certificate Program. She is also a contributor to the upcoming book, Reviving the Heart of Nurses, One Story at a Time: How Holistic Nursing and Nurse Coaching Will Change Your Life (to be released in 2025).
